About FEED, READER, XML, RSS and all the stuff
About XML, RSS and News Readers(Aggregators).

These "feeds," or "channels," are free and are created in the XML-based RSS 1.0 format. XML encodes data in a way that is easily readable by other web sites and a variety of desktop software programs known as news readers, or news aggregators. News readers allow you to view items from dozens, or even hundreds, of web sites at one time, and have the information constantly updated. Examples of news readers include NewzCrawler, Radio Userland, and Amphetadesk.

If you don't want to download and install software, you can visit one of the many RSS feed directories and search engines.

What you get.....
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a format for syndicating news. Delivery of Links(unfortunally in different versions: RSS versions 0.9x, 1.0 and 2.0 and Atom 0.1, 0.2 and 0.3., not always compatible to the used Reader)

If you use one of the JScripts as a Reader, you'll get a "Box-List with Links" (Headline-Text) to the original Text/Article. The Box-Content is updated at start of your page, maybe during the time the visitor reads it (in this case, your Blog can also been updated and starts again on the top).

There is no "Content" on your Page, only J-Script (important, if you submit to SEs!).

Mostly the Feeds cannot be selected (for "Sports" and deeper). You get the whole bunch of "news" from the feed. Thats not helpfull, if you are planning a "theme related Blog", what you should do.

So it needs to find the "crumbs" with news-selection, deep enough to fit your wishes.

The FEED (from the offers) is shown by that READER you installed.
If you have more than one feed to show (and there are millions!), you need another reader , another reader, another .....

List of major Search Engines and Directories in alphabetical order:

 • AltaVista; AllTheWeb (yah)
 • Fast (All the Web=Yahoo)
 • AOL (America Online)

 • Excite (AskJeeves)
 • Google
